The energy audit
In any intervention of rational use of energy is essential to assess the situation immediately energy users.
The first and indispensable intervention relates to the identification and elimination of waste and losses, even before testing technologies to be applied.
As a preliminary to a possible technical proposal is therefore always carried a necessary and proper energy audit on the customer's premises (energy audit).
The importance of electrical and thermal load charts allows you to perform a correct and reliable extrapolation of the energy needs.
A preliminary energy audit is therefore essential to acquire and evaluate applications for heat and electricity users.
The energy audit aims to understand how energy is used, what are the causes of possible waste and if so, what measures can be suggested to the user, ie an energy plan that evaluates not only technically feasible but also and above all economic actions.
The company ESCo can be a support to companies in the execution of energy audits.
Methods of audit
The energy audit is based on collecting and analyzing all the data coming from the use of various energy users; such data (which are then analyzed to study the specific consumption) can be found mainly in the invoices or bills of electricity and natural gas / LPG. The measurements are carried out based on specific economic criteria. The best measurements, ranging subsequently become part of the feasibility study, which then will create a report for the energy audit that collects all the measurements and all the parameters needed to make a decision, all performed by our technical staff.
The energy audit is conducted by specialists who are familiar thirty years in the industry: equipment, heat transfer, and other techniques to evaluate the efficiency.
Goals and objectives:
The energy audit is a systematic survey, collection and analysis of the parameters related to the specific consumption and the operating conditions of the building and its systems can be defined as a "technical-economic evaluation of energy flows." Its objectives are to:
define the energy balance
identify the redevelopment technological
to evaluate each intervention the technical opportunities and economic
efficient, with the customer's system
reduce the costs of managing
The main tool to understand and then act effectively on the energy situation of a company is the energy audit: it is a thorough analysis carried out through inspections at the production unit and the examination of documents provided by the company.
Data are collected for consumption and energy costs, and also data on electric utilities, heating, cooling, water (power, demand / consumption time, capacity utilization, hours of work etc..). On this basis we proceed in the reconstruction of the energy models.
From these models it will be possible to derive the distribution of power and consumption by type of use (heating, cooling, air conditioning cold process and for other services, process areas), by cost center, for electrical substation and by department, by time of day and season. The energy situation, as framed, is critically analyzed and compared with the average parameters of consumption in order to identify improvements to reduce consumption and costs and preliminary assessment of technical and economic feasibility.
